downtown - everything's waiting for you

finally downtown is living up to the expectations. in the past wee i have discovered some really great places to go! let's see the first was casey's irish pub (which i learned is my boss' husband's bar! i knew he owned one, just didn't know which one). also the redwood is a great bar, great atmosphere (it's pirate themed!) and great food! and it's only a block away and open till 2am! also a block away (and on the same street as the redwood) is cafe cafe, a place with great breakfast and sandwiches. but my favorite place (3 blocks away) is pitfire pizza. it's delicious food, cool decor and they deliver! though, i have yet to try that out. pitfire was so good in fact i ended up going 3 times over the weekend... taking different people every time. they're open till 10 every night, which is great since so much of downtown just shuts down at 5. and they've been busy too when i've gone at typical eating times, which was nice to see. also nice to see was that more people lived down here than i realized. and with a ralph's opening june hopefully downtown will be hoppin'!

and for my fellow bsg-ers:

some super fun news

now you can re-enact your favorite scenes!

so say we all -go go banana

battlestar g[eek]lactica

thanks to ml and y's constant praise of bsg (as the popular kids call it) on friday night, i am frakin' hooked. i totally got sucked into the marathon that was on monday and now i can't wait for the season to start! while i am still not entirely clear on everything, it certainly is a great show... though still not as good as my veronica mars :)

i alos learned that the scifi channel will be running one of my fave shows, jake 2.0. can't wait for that!

and who saw american idol last night? i am so glad it's back!

i know it's short and uninteresting, but i must run off to the gym and i am trying to post more... so i'll try and keep them short so i know i don't need to spend an hour at the computer typing it up and proofreading for errors... you're all intelligent you can figure out ahve = have :)

go go banana!
